Description

Working in the marketing team, we are looking for someone who can create, plan and deliver meaningful, engaging and impactful communication strategies and campaigns to communicate Securitas' brand and commercial strategies to improve brand perception. In addition, crafting communication strategies that empower colleagues and gain their commitment to achieving our commercial objectives and business priorities. You will be a key source of advice on all matters relating to internal and external communications. We are looking for people with experience working in communications, who can create winning strategies, great content, and understand, build and engage audiences and develop all communication channels.

What You'll be doing…

With your help we will define and deliver engaging, measurable, two-way communications aligned to Securitas UK business priorities and vision outcomes, through a variety of channels, to target our Securitas UK internal audiences, key stakeholders and press contacts:

Develop and deliver Securitas UK internal communication plans to support key business priorities.Develop and manage internal and external campaigns which build awareness and trust and improve brand reputation, working closely with clients and other relevant business stakeholders.Support key marketing campaigns i.e. expos, successful bids, customer experience and ensure consistent communication across all internal and external channels.Develop, maintain, and grow media relations and develop PR plans to gain media coverage and newsworthy storiesManage the Staff Engagement Survey from inception to results to action planning.Manage Community Awards nominations.Manage the Make a Difference awards Manage all external industry awards entries and resulting activity.Manage all Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives i.e. national / local charities.Manage the distribution of press releases, and images to relevant mediaMaximise editorial coverage through special stories (feature pieces).Provide regular PR activity updates to the Head of Marketing and work in line with the objectives setHelp create regular management information to demonstrate the effectiveness of internal and external communication channels, media and engagement activities.Help manage Securitas UK key communication channels for our target audiences:

What you'll need…

Communication skills; verbal and written.Motivated self-starter with the ability to work alone.Decision making.Business acumen and commercial awareness.Operational excellence.Relationship building and networking, internal and external.Creative thinking and an ability to create unique stories and compelling campaign ideas that really stand out and attract coverage.Essential

UK or valid work permitExcellent communication skills: verbal and written - plain English essential, including experience of writing short and long form content.Excellent influencing skills - able to build strong relationships.Good attention to detail, as you will be responsible for proofing and signing off content internally on behalf of Senior Stakeholders.Strong administrative skillsGreat organisational and time-management skills to be able to prioritise workloads and meet tight deadlines.Good working knowledge of all Microsoft Office 365 tools i.e. word, excel, PowerPointGood working knowledge of Mailchimp - question - why do we use Mailchimp?!Able to work using own initiative or within a team environment.Experience in marketing communications and PR.Desirable
