Our client has interim roles initially for 3 months but may well be extended for Pension wise Guidance specialists. These roles are a chance to really make a difference in people's lives. They are looking to pay GBP15.38 per hour plus holiday pay. These roles will mainly be remote working (full equipment provided) however 5 percent of your weekly time will be spent doing face to face appointments – Expenses paid. The areas needed to be covered are : Helensburgh, Perth, Livingstone, and East Kilbride.
Overall purpose:The Pension Wise Guidance Specialist will provide accurate and relevant guidance to people over 50, helping them to understand and make informed decisions about their defined contribution pension options. The service provides appointments both face to face and via telephone.You'll be expected to supply accurate and relevant information and guidance on pension options and choices. You'll need to have a good foundation knowledge of pension law and practice, as well as a thorough understanding of a broad range of pension arrangements.
Main duties1. Provide information and guidance to members of the public, in line with the Pension Wise service standards.2. Using the skills appropriate to the role, help consumers to understand the full implications of their pension choices.3. To raise consumer awareness of pension scams and fraud and to encourage and assist consumers to report them to the relevant authorities.4. Provide timely and accurate follow up information that is clear and understandable.5. Ensure that all work conforms to the Pension Wise quality standards, including undertaking peer to peer observations for quality assurance purposes, where applicable.6. Ensure that any required management information is both captured and reported on a timely basis.7. Complete training, continuous professional development and other requirements to gain and maintain accreditation.
Person Specification:
Essential1. Good foundation knowledge of pensions products, law, practice and products and an understanding and appreciation of wider retirement and financial capability issues.2. The ability to build rapport and communicate confidently, empathetically and professionally.3. The ability to translate complex ideas and topics into clear, concise and engaging content that service users are able to understand.4. Numerical skills to understand and translate financial matters for service users.5. Strong questioning skills to understand key client issues.6. Proven ability to work on own initiative to monitor and maintain own standards and meet service delivery key performance indicators and a commitment to on–going personal and professional development.7. Proven IT skills.
Desirable1. APMI or CII qualifications or equivalent in related areas would be of benefit.2. The ability to work a flexible working pattern around 8am to 8pm telephone delivery hours and Saturday working (8am to 5pm) – we offer flexible working for both full and part–time roles.
