Job type: Full Time/Part Time 12 month contract (minimum 4 days a week)

Our client is a charitable foundation based in North Bath.

They are looking to recruit an Interim Financial Controller to cover maternity leave.

The successful candidate will be motivated and diligent with a clear record of delivering accurate finances, preferably in the charity sector. You will be joining a small, dedicated team to provide finance support across the organisation.

Interim Financial Controller - The Role

As Interim Financial Controller you will be responsible for the day to day financial management of the Foundation's operations.

Key responsibilities include:

Manage and lead a small team;Preparation of the monthly management accounts pack and quarterly reports with variance analysis and commentary;Preparation and monitoring of the annual budget;Assisting with cash flow forecasting;Preparation of quarterly VAT returns;Monthly control account reconciliations;Preparing prepayments and accruals on a timely basis;Manage the bank accounts and complete a monthly bank reconciliation;Manage the AR and AP function;Oversee payroll;Prepare statutory accounts, manage the year end process and liaise with the external auditors;Assisting with various aspects of governance and administration relating to the accounts. As Interim Financial Controller you will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) who has experience of working in a similar role.

Ideally you will demonstrate:

A motivated and diligent approach;Charity experience desirable;An ability to analyse and interrogate financial information;Strong Excel skills;Good communication skills;Ability to work independently with a proactive mindset.
