Intro
Cedar is currently partnered with a large private IT services business to secure an Interim bids modeller based in Central London. The role is a 3-month initial contract, paying a day rate between (Apply online only) per day. This role is anticipated to offer assistance, analysis, and pricing support to the bid team to optimize outcomes, operating both autonomously and collaboratively with a diverse group of experts across different disciplines within the organization.

The Role
As the Interim Bids Modeller, your day to day will be:
Taking ownership of and developing financial bid models as needed, utilizing existing company modelling tools. Ensuring accurate treatment of revenue recognition (IFRS15) and incurred costs, and establishing sufficient contingency provisions. Additionally, completing the associated pricing schedule for bid submissions.Generating reports, meeting internal governance reporting requirements, conducting analyses involving multiple scenarios, and providing assessments and recommendations to the bid team and the broader business as necessary.Participating in governance calls to verify that bids adhere to required governance and compliance standards, and ensuring accurate cost estimation and pricing. Collaborating with the operational finance team to comply with audits and implement recommendations.Collaborating with the bid team and the broader business to offer financial pricing and costing, reporting, and modelling support across all aspects of client bids.Collecting, organizing, and interpreting received inputs related to the bid, while engaging in robust challenge where necessary.Undertaking ad-hoc tasks and other projects as needed.
Your Profile
You will ideally be:
A qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA or equivalent) with post-qualification experience; however, experienced candidates without formal qualifications will be considered.Essential: IT services industry experience, adept at complex pricing and costing for large-scale infrastructure bids, and extensive knowledge of unit-based pricing and commercial models.Proven track record in multiple bid teams, stakeholder management, and clear communication of complex financial concepts to non-financial audiences.Strong organizational and presentation skills, ability to handle workload peaks, effective communication with clients and stakeholders.Demonstrated leadership in small teams within a dynamic environment.The rate of (Apply online only) per day represents a fair value, or logical increase on your previous salary or day rate.Immediate availability required.
