Installation Engineer (Electrical) About the role:
We wish to expand our engineering team and have a vacancy for a Installation Engineer based in the south west (Cardiff/Swindon/Portsmouth/Exeter) to provide installation of our fuel management eqipment, fuel pumps, tank gauges and associated products as well as carry out services, breakdown support and planned maintenance.
This role is suitable for individuals with previous experience in this sector or an electrician with electro mechanical experience in installing hydraulic systems. Work is varies from day to day and site to site. Fuel management repair is not fault finding to component level, vehicles are stocked with likely replacement parts including circuit boards. You would be working with single-phase electrical systems; you will be required to work to the current electrical regulations and good engineering practice, however, most tasks only involve the low voltage side of the system. Fuel pump service and repair is also part of the position, which is more mechanical than electronic. Health & safety is paramount, working within our risk assessments and method statements as well as adhering to customers site-specific rules.
As the face of the company, you will be able to communicate well with customers as well as your colleagues and our back office team.
You will be home based (south west as above), travelling to customer locations with requires regular overnight stays expensed by the company.
What we need from you:
• Electrician holding a current ECS gold card
• Experience in electro mechanical work, particularly pumps would be desirable
• Experience of field work
• Holding a full UK driving licence (max 3 points)
• A good communicator
• A problem solver
• Physically fit and of smart appearance
