If you are passionate about community development, bursting with fresh ideas and innovative approaches, and looking for challenging yet rewarding projects, we d love for you to be a part of our journey.

About the role

We re looking for an Income Recovery Assistant to join our Income team.

You ll make a genuine difference by helping people to stay in their homes. Every day is different but it s all about problem solving and doing what s right by our residents.

As an assistant you ll have experience in providing an efficient customer service, managing accounts, and maximising income. You ll have a basic understanding of finances and welfare support. You'll be required to deal with rent refunds, rent adjustments, write offs and setting up/amending direct debits.

However, as a last resort, you ll handle more challenging situations like assisting the Specialist officer with County Court and possession applications and paperwork for hearings. By working closely with your team and our Neighbourhoods and Finances teams, you ll successfully reduce arrears and help our residents.

About you

The successful candidate will be able to deliver outstanding customer service, understand data, analytics and income recovery and have excellent communication & all-round collaboration skills. You will be a natural problem solver and have some knowledge & experience with income recovery and customer accounts of all different tenure types, including General Needs, Leasehold, Shared Ownership and some working practise of rent arrears protocol, although this is not essential.

What we offer you

Besides an emphasis on learning and development and the opportunity to be part of a fantastic team, we offer a generous package including 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays and four extra concessionary days, a health and wellbeing scheme including a generous wellbeing allowance, season ticket loan, good pension and a lovely, refurbished office, plus the opportunity to work flexibly. On top of this we offer an environment which promotes openness and inclusion, a team that operates with pride and values teamwork and going above and beyond.
