In this role you will be responsible for managing the small Imports team and HMRC compliance of imports processes and procedures to allow the business to maintain a Customs Bonded Warehouse and AEO "C" status.

Job responsibilities
Your role of Imports Team Leader will require you to:
Manage HMRC processes relating to relevant audits.Manage Import Shipments.Ensure ongoing compliance with AEO regulations.Manage the input of commercial invoices into HMRC CDS System.Manage preparation of documents (BOL / C88 etc) including required certification (COE / GSP / Declarations etc).Manage Customs entries for bonded and unbonded stock movements.Monitor, check, register and clear any ancillary charges into CMS400.Manage the generation of a single SOB manifest from multiple agents.Maintain monthly insurance data and deal with any insurance claims.Oversee FOB direct delivery shipments.Act as the key liaison for Ashford Systems CMS400 warehouse system.Regularly check CPC codes are current with HMRC.Maintain countries benefiting from preference trade arrangements.Identify 10-year bonded-stock for auto issue selection.Edit currency code rates to CMS400 monthly and CMS Irish yearly.Supervise monthly excess VAT and Duty liability report.Supervise archiving and filing, ensuring folders are constantly rotated.Manage compilation of container statistics for business. Supply the QA department with an analysis report of shipments.Update import and export haulier listings for all past present and future forwarders.Update suppliers not on CMS400, adding new accounts on CMS400. Updating HMRC Government Gateway with new direct representatives as required.Undertake sorting of the duty deferment account for courier and non-European entries.Responsible for managing import log errors.Authorise scrappage and removing spares within the CMS400 System.Conduct annual staff appraisals in line with the Company appraisal procedure.
