Importer Controller / Import Specialists

Our West London logistics client is seeking an Import Controller with a good understanding how the Airline Handling Agents work as well as the HMR&C Customs Tariff.

The successful Import Controller will be part of the Import Hub and help looking after the daily Start to Finish Operation of Air, Ocean, Road, and Courier Imports.

Key skills and experience:

– Import experience

– Preparing and physically doing Customs Entries, compliant of course to the new CDS Regime

– Understanding and able to Navigate the HMR&C Customs Tariff

– Knowledge and Understanding of Incoterms

– Being able to work to deadlines with a calm persona.

– Understanding how the Airline Handling Agents work and the Freetimes allotted from setting of ST1.

– Be responsible for ensuring you get the best possible deals at all times

– Understanding of accruals involved on the job from receipt of booking / pre alert, through to delivery

– Be responsible for loading on a set of accurate accruals in preparation for file Invoicing.

Excellent customer service is a must!

Must be computer Illiterate – Word, Excel Outlook

Again, we are seeking an Import Controller with a good understanding how the Airline Handling Agents work as well as the HMR&C Customs Tariff.

Based in Middlesex and paying a salary of GBP25,000.
