Our client specialising in bespoke HV projects are currently recruiting for an experienced HV Projects/HV Maintenance Tendering Estimator!Do you want to be a part of a leading independent engineering business in the UK?Do you want the chance to progress you career, within a company that champions progression and development?Salary – GBP45–55k Location – ideally in the north but not critical – opportunities for hybrid/remote working.As a HV Estimator you will take the lead on tenders/enquiries and be responsible for managing and delivering accurate, tailored estimates in a timely efficient manner, and compile competitive HV Project/maintenance estimations in line with supplied documentation and current standards. The HV Estimator is a key player in driving company growth by ensuring enquires are dealt with efficiently whilst being competitively accurate and adhering to the client's specification.You will need to demonstrate knowledge of working on tenders of HV Projects and or maintenance contracts including ICP and IDNO connections up to 33kV. Typical tenders will incorporate HV equipment, construction, civils, ICP works, maintenance and design.Responsibilities: Preparation of tenders and quotations from client's specifications and drawings within defined time periods. Make site assessments and evaluate any risks. Evaluations of options or alternatives Responsible for the checking of accuracy and completeness of client's tender documents In conjunction with procurement, liaise with sub–contractors and suppliers to obtain the best available quotations. Liaising with operational colleagues Attend handover meetings were required and explain project scope, estimate, clarifications and assumptions. Attend post tender presentations with the client where required.Requirements: Previous experience of a role in HV estimating involving significant exposure to a wide range of specifications and commercial tender documents. A HNC or above in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering or other relevant subjects. A proven track record in providing technical solutions and costing for an electrical and civil engineering environment.
