This is a traditional HR Manager role, supporting the full generalist piece with a hands-on approach. Our client is seeking a strong generalist who has a breadth of experience in employee relations and a strong understanding of process.
You will play a key role in helping shape how HR is delivered across the company working under a people agenda that has significant buy in from the top.
This position could suit either an experienced HR Manager keen to hit the ground running or an ambitious HR Advisor/Generalist who is searching for that step up.
The HR Manager will
Advising and coaching people managers to ensure robust people management practice, to drive employee engagement.Act as the employment law / HR policy SME for allocated business areas - undertake pro-active case management when required.Take ownership of and drive the embedding of core HR processes such as absence and performance management across relevant business areas.Develop, collate and provide accurate people data to the HRBP to support the People Plan for relevant business areas.Establishing and maintain effective working relationships with people managers in the relevant business areas.Work in alignment with other HRMs across the business to ensure consistent application of HR policy and processes. Significant experience case managing complex ER matters.Excellent up to date knowledge of current employment law / HR policies - including their practical application within the workplace (putting theory into action)Data literate with experience of collating and displaying key people data (e.g attrition / turnover) to support the HRBP to develop the People PlanExperience of supporting people managers with varying degrees of confidence and competence to develop their people management skills.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to enable the building of rapport to establish good working relationships at all levelsStrong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage a challenging workload with competing priorities with a level of ambiguity.
