Barking and Dagenham College have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as an HR Assistant at our Rush Green campus. You will join us on a full time (36 hours per week), permanent basis and in return, we will offer a competitive salary of GBP27,741 per annum.
The HR Assistant role:
As one of our HR Assistants, you will play an integral role in the smooth running of the HR support function. Owning a designated area of responsibility as part of the wider team, you will provide first line support, essential coordination of activity and act as the gatekeepers to ensure children are kept safe in education through our recruitment practice. You will be passionate about providing proactive support to employees contribute to ensuring colleagues can deliver an exceptional learner experience.
We have two areas we are looking for additional 2 HR Assistants to own:
First line support and reception, as the team s reception function and first point of contact through the HR Helpdesk email address
Colleague development, and the core HR link to the Quality and Curriculum team, coordinating SLD days for academic and non-academic staff, a first class induction and proactive PDR compliance monitoring
Key Responsibilities of our HR Assistant:
Following college procedures concerning their area of responsibility, and apply to wider college Coordinating induction activities as required for new colleagues, at a service and college wide level Maintaining team trackers, raising requisitions, answering telephone calls, conducting research as required, prepare documentation Providing information, advice and guidance to all staff and candidates as required, referring to other team members as required and escalating more complex matters to the HR Operations Partner or Recruitment Partner accordingly Our ideal HR Assistant should have the below skills and experience:
5 GCSE s or equivalent including Maths and English (A-C grade) CIPD Level 3 qualification in HR or Recruitment Previous experience working in a fast paced office environment Experience working within an HR Team within an FE Setting would be an advantage Experience using HR Information Systems and Applicant Tracking Systems Excellent IT skills, including the use of Microsoft Office 365 Excellent working knowledge of HR Information, Recruitment and Payroll Systems including employee self-service Familiar with the requirements of Part 3 of KCSIE Knowledge and understanding of GDPR Closing date for applications: 10/01/2024
