About The Role
To help us deliver our HR Projects & to provide an advisory service to Siltbuster Ltd in Monmouth we are looking for an HR & Project Advisor to join our team.
Reporting to our HR Operations Manager this role has a dual purpose HR advisory and delivering HR projects. It is expected that your time will be spilt between Monmouth (50%), Home (40%), Southampton / Other locations (10%)
HR Advisor responsibilities include:
Approximately 50% of time will be spent in Siltbuster. Monmouth working collaboratively with the MD and his SLT providing comprehensive & timely advice and guidance on all ER issues and influencing them in order to build their knowledge and capability to make conscious, business-risk-assessed people decisions. In particular providing coaching and guidance on performance management, disciplinaries, absence and grievances. Work directly with the MD on organisation design, attraction & retention, talent management, -partnering to provide a confidential HR service and drive the HR strategy. Provide employment law guidance statute & case law - taking into account company precedents ensuring the business executes it s legal duties diligently. Work with Learning & Development to develop internal training material to support Line Managers with Employee Relations issues. Identify current and future critical roles and deliver succession planning for Siltbuster. Work with the Recruitment and Management teams to critically assess levels of resource for Siltbuster. Provide advice and support on all recruitment issues including job description writing. HR Projects responsibilities include:
Working from home with occasional travel to company locations, in collaboration with the HR team and other stakeholders, deliver all HR projects to deadline, ensure they enhance the HR value proposition and can be delivered within resource constraints. Deliver a Workdry Group project to update/create HR policies & processes to reflect legislative changes and ensure compliance, including creating template forms, letters, agenda to deliver a complete way of working for each HR process flow. Research, write and deliver training for people managers on HR policies, processes and documentation on managing absence, capability, discipline & grievance, to include statute, case law and real-life examples to illustrate what being trained. Deliver a Workdry Group project to manage International Assignments UK employees to overseas, Overseas to UK and overseas territory to overseas territory.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Educated to degree Standard or equivalent CIPD Level 5 ideally including the Employment Law module Demonstrable experience of initiating and collaboratively delivering HR projects on time to cost and quality Experience of writing and delivering HR training courses for People Managers on absence, grievance, discipline capability, to include statute, case law and real life examples to illustrate what being trained Proven experience of excellent stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to manage key relationships and influencing outcomes when/where needed Great interpersonal skills and able to adapt your style and approach to meet the needs of your stakeholders. Dynamic, self-motivated and flexible, ready to develop the role and drive the people strategy forward Professional and confident to challenge the status quo and improve the way things are done Proactive and solutions-focussed with the drive to deliver positive change across the business IT proficient - experience with HR software, like HRIS Computer literate (MS Office applications, in particular) Ability to travel to various parts of the business when required, to execute duties. Car driver. Manufacturing and / or construction industry experience useful but not essential
