The role:
A great opportunity has arisen at Hovis Bradford for a HR Advisor to work with the site HRM to develop and deliver key HR objectives for the site. The HR Advisor provides support to the site management team in relation to all aspects of HR such as Resourcing, Learning & Development, Employee Relations, Engagement, Reward and Recognition.
Work alongside the HR Manager to drive the alignment & execution of the People Strategies & Plans in order to develop, keep and enhance the contribution of employees to the short and long term business needs. Work with the HR Manager to act as a catalyst/supporter of change where appropriate specifically with initiatives such as shared services implementation. Prepare training materials and arrange and deliver training/coaching for staff. Responsible for the induction and on-boarding programme of new starters. Responsible for managing high volume ER cases from dismissal through to appeal and work with the HRM on complex cases. Establish and maintain effective win-win working relationships with associates and their representatives (where applicable e.g. union representative associates) through an environment that fosters communication and services delivery. Liaise with OH regarding long term sickness and ill health assessments. Work alongside the site safety Manager to ensure safety and compliance on site Work as part of cross-functional / HR team to develop HR practice and process developments that contribute to enhancing the total HR contribution
Ideal experiences / Qualifications / capabilities:
CIPD qualified or working towards Minimum 2 years experience ideally within a site based environment Strong knowledge of employment law Experience of managing disciplinary and grievance processes, up to and including dismissal, within an unionised environment
Desirable:
Experience in a manufacturing environment SAP Time and attendance experience
