We are working with an established client based in Shrewsbury; they are looking for an Administrator to join their HR team on a fixed term contract basis from January to June 2024. The main purpose will be to support the HR Department in providing a comprehensive range of human resources administrative and co-ordination across a broad range of HR areas.
Responsibilities and duties will include, but not limited to:
Assist in the preparation of application packs and placing adverts on websites and other social media platforms. Assist with requesting employment references on all candidates invited to attend an interview, ensuring all references are received in a timely manner and verbally verified. Carry out all Prohibition checks before new employees commence employment. Assist the department with any other recruitment related responsibilities as required. Liaise with the Payroll Officer with a variety of staff changes, new employees and terminations providing information for monthly payroll as required. Assist the Financial Controller on preparation of Pension letters. Assist with other payroll matters as directed by the Head of Human Resources. Support the HR Officer with regard to conditional offer letters, contracts of employment and pension letters for new members of staff (including any amendment to contract letters). Assist the HR Co-ordinator with keeping the filing updated. Maintain confidentiality and data protection regulations by ensuring any necessary documents are shredded in a timely manner. Maintain personal and professional development to meet the changing demands of the job, to include participation in appropriate training activities. Undertake such other duties, training and/or hours of work as may be reasonably required, and which are consistent with the general level of responsibility of this job role.
Skills and Experience
To be considered for this opportunity you will have previous administration experience and although not essential, it would be an advantage to have worked in a HR environment. You need to be organised, with excellent communication and administration skills. Attention to detail is essential as well as being a problem solver and a self-starter to be successful in this role.
