You will be responsible for visiting tenants at all stages of the process from moving people into the final parts of the client's tenure - check-in and check-out, sign ups and maintenance visits included.
You will be responsible for scheduled and reactive visits for the purpose of maintenance, complaints and health and safety.
You will be the key point of contact in relation to managing anti-social behaviour and liaising with authorities and third-party services to resolve ASB issues. Lone working will be required in line with organisation process and policy.
Person You will be an experienced housing officer with prior knowledge and experience working in a similar role - this role is not suitable for someone with no experience of a housing officer role. In this role you will need: An ability to adhere to the core values of a person-centred organisation. A good knowledge of housing law and tenancy-based regulation and legislation. Knowledge of the welfare state and benefits system in general. To have experience working with people in a state of homelessness and with a support need for various issues. A willingness to travel and manage your workload out in the patch. A full UK driving licence. Good report writing, computer literacy and an approachable personality. It is desirable that you hold a CIH Housing national practitioner Level 3 qualification - or a willingness to undertake this qualification.
