Is so, BRC are working in partnership with a national Charity who are recruiting for a Housing Management Worker. They believe that everybody has the right to a safe and secure place to live and think this is the foundation that everything else in life is built upon. As Housing Management Worker, you will play a vital part in the delivery of a high–performance housing service focusing on properties health and safety checks, fire regulations knowledge, and understanding and property standards.
The successful candidate will be responsible for 26 properties in the Birmingham area. Driving is therefore essential as you will be spending four days in the field and one day in the office. The focus of this role is to ensure the properties are kept and maintained to a suitable standard, so a good knowledge of safe property standards is required. You will also be working within the charities Housing Management Team to maximise rent collections while adhering to organisations policies and procedures to ensure maintained tenancies.
To be successful in this position, you will need to be confident in your ability to work alone in accordance with the requirements of the service. You will be able to build and maintain relationships with additional organisations to support the service users with their best interest in mind. You should have experience of giving practical advice and skills to vulnerable adults. The successful candidate will have expertise in ensuring the service users properties are routinely maintained.
