About the role
As a Housing Finance Project Officer, your main responsibility will be to support the development and implementation of housing finance projects within the organisation. You will work closely with the finance and housing teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects, while also providing financial analysis and recommendations to senior management.
You will manage the financial aspects of various housing related projects to a highly efficient and effective standardsYou will manage transactions from the homelessness budgetAssess Housing Team requests for funds to prevent or relieve homelessness against criteriaEnsure that all Housing Benefit Claims are in place for each Homelessness Placement, with changes of circumstances or cancellations submitted correctlyEnsure that all Bond Schemes are managed through to completionCollate data and information needed to respond to Housing related issues raised through the authorities Customer Feedback service or through third party agenciesResponsible all collating data for Housing related FOIs across, that they are allocated and answered correctly in the given timescalesResponsible for all Data gathering and accuracy checking for submission for both internal and external data requirementsEnsure that all financial data is kept up to date and is accurateGenerate reports for Senior Managers and Members on Data and Financial Accounts, including the spending of the Homelessness Prevention Funds This is a new role which will cover West Oxfordshire. West Oxfordshire District Council is dedicated to maintaining and enhancing the district as one of the best places to live, work and visit in the UK. We provide a range of important services including waste and recycling collections, planning, housing, leisure, community safety and environmental health.
You will need
Experience of working with and applying Homelessness Reduction Act and related Housing LegislationExperience of managing BudgetsA minimum qualification equivalent to NVQ level 3 or A level, and/or three years relevant experienceGCSE Maths and English or equivalent to grade C/4 or higherAbility to build customer relationshipsKnowledge and experience in assessing complex situationsMaintain accurate and up to date recordsDeliver commitments and take ownership of own caseload, reshaping of plans to deliver required outcomes Special Conditions
There may be a requirement to work at other Publica Group (Support) Ltd and/or client locations to meet the needs of the businessYou will be expected to work reasonable additional hours in line with the needs of the serviceFull UK Driving LicenseAbility to travel/ access to a vehicle for work purposes For more information about this role please see the Job Description/Person Specification.
