Housing Disrepair Claims ManagerStart: Jan 2024Rate: Negotiable D.O.EDuration: 3 Months initially Hybrid Working Arrangement - based in West MidlandsResponsibilities:• Ensure the service delivers to set deadlines, has robust data management, manage, and agree cost claims and lead case reviews to embed lessons into processes and procedures • Coordinate activity, triage cases alongside legal teams, assign resources more effectively to higher priority or higher risk cases to increase efforts toward maximum impact• Identify lessons learned and from that develop training needs, process reviews and areas for early intervention to minimise the council's exposure to future claims• Provide support to respond to repair related complaints to identify trends and areas for improvement• Attend court proceedings from time to time as the council's representative to provide evidence of the council's processes and procedures for management of HDR claims
Requirements:• Demonstrable understanding of; Housing Disrepair case law, Regulator of Social Housing, and the Housing Ombudsman• Experience of dealing with customers and able to remain calm in stressful situations• Able to understand and interpret complex information
