Description
Brief Duties and Responsibilities of the Receptionist:
•To have a complete operational knowledge of the hotel/hostel including its geographical layout, services provided personnel structure / duties and general control.
•To have a good working knowledge of the Company’s other hosels, local information and details of special services to be needed by guests.
•To actively promote the service and facilities available to guests/visitors within the hotel/hostel
. Smooth Check-in and Checkouts, deliver excellent customer service, at all times
•To have a pleasant personal manner at all times.
•To be responsible for the general cleanliness of the Front Hall and associated areas.
•To be able to deal with any problems, difficulties, complaints, accidents, equipment, malfunctions, etc.
•To assist in the general security of the hotel with special attention to keeping any off duty staff and undesirables from unauthorized areas.
•To be aware of any suspicious persons.
•To ensure public lavatories are cleaned to the standard required.
•Dealing with guests promptly upon arrival and departure, as per Smart Space Standards for check in and out procedures.
•Assisting all guests in a sincere and courteous manner, and wherever possible going the extra mile to ensure guest satisfaction.
•You will be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of all services and facilities of the hotel/hostel, as well as the local area, ensuring our guests are assisted effectively.
•Professionally and competently operating the telephone system. Portraying a professional appearance and manner to all visitors.
•To sell effectively bedrooms and maximizing occupancy, average rates and yield.
•Taking payments
•Full training will be given by the site manager.
