Working alongside the managing director/owners and department heads you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth running of this award winning hotel set in some of the most stunning scenery in scotland.
The hotel operates a Restaurant, Bar and Cafe (daytime) service and provides a range of outdoor activities all run from site. The hotel is well established and respected in the area and has been running for nearly 40 years and specialises in groups of various forms such as Yoga retreats, Photography courses, Music Courses and Outdoor Activity Residential courses as well as the odd wedding here and there.

The Role
This is a hands on role with sole responsibility for:
Admin Control of the Hotel PMS System (HOP PMS), The EPOS system (Tevalis), Phone System (Voip), Rota Software (Planday) and HR/Health & Safety System (Bright HR) as well as a number of other systems we use.
Group sales, group/event planning and client liaison
Pricing, forecasting, sales monitoring and reporting, solving any financial queries presented by the accounts department
Making sure correct cash handling and stock management procedures are adhered to by the departments heads and greater team
Dealing with customer complaints (which are actually quite rare) and replying to reviews online as well as actioning any improvements that arise from such feedback
Assisting with and sharing responsibility for….
Working with the directors to ensuring compliance with health and safety, employment law, fire safety and other legal obligations (we work with an external provider for advice and support on this so you will always be supported and up to date with the latest developments in this area)
Working on menus and F&B offerings with the head chef and Restaurant & Bar Manager
Managing department heads alongside the owner/MD, leading staff by example and making sure the team are happy and giving their best
Working with department heads to ensure that any training opportunities are available for team members who wish to advance and that training records are kept
Working on strategic plans for the future alongside owner/MD
Assisting with rota planning alongside the MD and Department Heads
Assisting with Recruitment, training and HR alongside the MD
The ideal candidate
You will be an extremely proficient in IT and the usual modern hospitality systems and software programs
You will be excellent at managing your time and be able to prioritise work in a logical way.
You will be an excellent communicator both written and verbal who listens and absorbs information, with a great memory or an excellent system of organising and recalling important information
You will be motivated, patient, approachable and outgoing
You will be a problem solver who takes ownership and sees things through to completion
Who would the role suit?
This role is an excellent opportunity for an F&B Manager, Hotel Reservations or Duty Manager who fits the ideal candidate criteria closely, and wants to take the next step up into Hotel Management. This is a seasonal job to begin with but for the right candidate this could quickly progress to a year round role with a career progression opportunity to Hotel General Manager.

Salary ranging between £33,000 - £36,270 based on hours 40-45 to be discussed and agreed at interview depending on winter plans
