Engine from a 1988 Transalp with 50000 miles.

The engine is dismantled and needs rebuilding, but comes with MANY new parts including various seals, a full gasket and o-ring set (£75), conrod bearings (£50), main bearings and a new output shaft with the more modern 13 splines (£200). The cases have been professionally vapour-blasted and clear-coated (£270), and the bores honed. Someone who does engine rebuilds has looked at this engine, and said the previous owners must have used good quality oil because the insides are in such good condition.

All parts are present except for the water pump and starter motor. You will need to decide if the engine needs anything else such as new piston rings, cam chains or clutch plates.

Engine is fitted with the pulse coil generators and rotor from the later single CDI models, so at the moment it will only fit 96 models onwards. It's an easy job to swap back over if you own an earlier model.

All parts are labelled and boxed for easy transport. Also included is a Honda manual (not Haynes or Clymer) with comprehensive rebuild details, and a clutch holder tool.

This is a total bargain, with free delivery for goodness sake! The price is not going any lower and If it doesn't sell soon I will pay to get it rebuilt and sell the finished article.
