I’m a 60 year old looking for someone to assist me with day-to-day tasks that I find hard due to my physical disability.
The kinds of tasks I would need assistance with are:
Helping to prepare clothes for me to wear
Meal preparation and washing dishes
Laundry, ironing, folding and tidying clothes away
Tidying up
Minor cleaning (e.g. wiping down the kitchen and sink, dusting)
Help with other daily tasks
I am not looking for personal care such as washing and using the bathroom or getting dressed.
Requirements:
You don’t need previous experience of care work or caring, but should be able to learn about and understand my needs through open communication and asking questions
Speak fluent English
You are easygoing and relaxed
Live in or close to SE10
Can be male or female and any age
About me:
I am a working professional who has lived in London for most of my life. I am very happy to discuss my needs, so that you do not have to make any assumptions and are able to support my independence as far as possible.
I am seeking this kind of help for 1.5 hours per day from Monday to Friday from around 8:30am until 10:00am and can pay £12 per hour in cash.
When you reply it would be great to see your CV and please answer the following questions in your application:
1. What makes you want to apply for the job and what do you think makes you suitable?
2. How far do you have to travel to SE10?
3. What do you expect someone with an illness that gives them pain and makes them have to use a wheelchair might want or need to support their daily independence?
4. What would your approach to care work be? Please mention any relevant experience from your personal or work life, if any.
We look forward to hearing your thoughts and would ask you to email your answers within 5 days.
If you are interested or have any questions, please contact George who is dealing with enquiries.
