Health & Safety Advisor needed

A position has arisen for a temporary Health & Safety Advisor placed within a highly reputable organisation situated mainly in Milton Keynes. This role takes responsibility for all the health and safety compliance for a contract length of nine months.

Your duties will include:

Providing expert advice, support, training and leadership on all aspects of health and safety Supporting the Safety & Resilience Manager in the development of an annual work plan in line with the needs of the organisation and statutory requirementsEnsuring the organisation is made aware of new applicable legislation and guidance as it arisesInvestigating health and safety incidents, including Serious Untoward Incident (SUI) to identify relevant root causes, risk management strategies and support the sharing of lessons learntDelivering interventions aimed at mitigating the risk to the health and safety of staff and others Support Service Managers and other stakeholders in ensuring the health and safety processes meet the business requirements of the organisation and the local needs of servicesUndertaking regular site inspections and audits and developing and monitoring the implementation of action plans necessary to mitigate identified risksProducing reports to analyse health and safety related data, draw conclusions and make recommendations on appropriate actions to be takenSupporting the Emergency Planning and Business Continuity Manager to ensure that appropriate plans are in place The successful candidate should have:
