Health and Safety Coordinator

Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week.

35,510 + extensive benefits package including bonus & enhanced pension scheme

Are you looking to move to an industry that is predicted to have huge growth over the coming years? I am working with a nationally recognised energy from waste facility. The site in Avonmouth is the largest of its kind in Europe and is a true flagship site for the industry. The site is split into 2 facilities, the materials processing facility & the power generation facility. This role sits on the materials processing side of the facility.

What we are looking for:

Practical health & safety experience within a manufacturing or processing facility Awareness of the relevant management standards ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO 50001OSH / NEBOSH (or equivalent) safety qualificationGood analytical skills with a clear thought process and high level of accuracy.Knowledge of the waste industry (beneficial)

The role:

Supporting the development and embedding a positive safety culture across all levels of the siteThe implementation of safety systems and safe systems of workMonitoring and managing compliance with environmental requirements and relevant ISO standards and other accreditations.Advising on improvements to current site Procedures and safety related systemsPrepare Environmental monitoring reports and submissionsThe main point of contact for all health & Safety issues, liasing closely with the site EHS Manager.
