The Royal Academy of Music is creative and vibrant with a diverse mix of students and staff from over 60 countries. Many of the world's leading musicians and performers studied with us and we are firmly focused on developing tomorrow's musical leaders in a number of disciplines, including Classical Performance, Composition, Opera, Jazz, and Musical Theatre.
We are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified leader of the operatic element within a thriving Vocal Faculty. Its mission is the training of operatic and concert singers to the highest level, supporting them in realising their full potential, and encouraging them to be versatile, creative and professional.
You will be an outstanding vocal coach, repetiteur and conductor with a wide range of operatic experience. You will have excellent knowledge of sung European languages and of mainstream operatic repertoire and be a highly experienced keyboard executant. You will be enthusiastic, inspiring, accessible to students and have a can-do approach, all underpinned by second-to-none rapport with staff and students alike. You will also have the ability to be flexible, practical and highly organised with a high degree of professionalism and independence. Experience of working with young, sometimes changing voices at a formative stage of technical development is essential.
Completed applications must be received by midnight Sunday 7 January 2024.
Interviews are expected to take place onsite week commencing 22 January 2024.
The Academy is committed to promoting the welfare and safeguarding of all students.
