Head of Reading/Teacher of English
Reports to: Assistant Principal
Start date: September 2024
Contract: Permanent – Full Time
Salary: £37,667 - £48,857 (Ark Main Pay Scale AM1-AM6) + TLR 2A (£3,213).

The Role:
As whole school reading lead you would develop, implement and monitor a reading curriculum that maximises progress across Key stage 3 in English. You would lead all staff development on key reading strategies to ensure that all teachers are teachers of reading who enable our pupils to access challenging texts across all subjects and disciplines for Years 7-13. From this work, you would assess and analyse reading data.
