Role Overview
The Greater London Authority (GLA) has put in place a new team focused on strengthening partnerships to support the Mayor and the GLA in delivering their objectives. This includes a unit focused on key relationships across London and the UK.
The team provides public affairs insight; supports the Mayor's Office with the operational aspects of delivering the Mayor's public affairs work; and provides advice and guidance to policy teams. The unit seeks to ensure the best use of the Mayor's convening power to bring decision-makers together to solve some of the most difficult problems facing London and Londoners.

About the role
This is pivotal role shaping London's future by building impactful strategic relationships between the Mayor and the Greater London Authority (GLA). Collaborate closely with the Mayoral Director for Political and Public Affairs to support the seamless delivery of initiatives.
Your responsibilities include streamlining processes to deliver public affairs priorities, driving a dynamic team to enhance the Mayor's convening powers, and creating innovative partnerships to help address policy challenges.
As a vocal advocate, champion collaborative approaches across the GLA, and lead effective joint efforts with London Councils and partners via the London Partnership Board. Strengthen connections with the Civil Service, Boroughs, and London Councils' officials, supporting senior GLA officers in nurturing key stakeholder relationships.
Your proactive and strategic mindset is vital to ensure the seamless functioning of these critical relationships. Make a lasting impact on London's policy landscape.
