Are you a seasoned Organisational Design professional with a proven track record driving organisational change with large, complex organisations? The Barbican is seeking a dynamic individual to join their evolving People, Culture and Inclusion team, as the Head of Organisational Design and Development.

As a globally renowned Centre for the Arts, the Barbican is a creative catalyst, sparking possibilities and transformation for artists, audiences, and communities. Nestled in the heart of the City of London, this iconic architectural landmark is a place for discovery, a refuge for personal reflection, and a rich resource for the local community – 'a place to inspire, connect and provoke debate'. However, over the last 18 months, following the Barbican Stories, the organisation has instigated a major cultural change and transformation programme, setting a new strategic roadmap with diversity and inclusion at the heart of it. The next phase of the strategic framework includes the defining of their goals, priorities, and setting a new operating model.
The Role
In this permanent role of Head of Organisational Design and Development, you will play a critical part in this transformation change journey. You will be responsible for;
Shaping their approach to organisation reviews.Providing specialist OD & D expertise to business leaders and HR Business PartnersDesigning the new Barbican Operating Model alongside the Director Group and CEOBuilding organisational resilience capability within the people function.Leading and managing the provision of learning and organisational development, including leadership development and identifying and enabling capabilities for the future.Design and rollout of a People, Culture and Inclusion Strategy and workforce plan for the Barbican alongside the Director for People, Culture and Inclusion. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a significant impact within a unique Arts institution, and help mould the future landscape. To be a part of this journey and successful in this role, we're looking for a seasoned Organisational Design and Development professional with a creative and innovative leadership style, and proven experience driving cultural change within complex environments. CIPD Level 7 within OD related field, or substantial experience working at a senior level in this specialism.
