My client, Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA), provide fun activities to over 17000 disabled children and adults. Through activities like riding and carriage driving, they provide therapy, fitness, skills-development and opportunities for achievement. These services are supported by 13,000 amazing volunteers and qualified coaches at over 450 RDA centres throughout the UK. As a charity they can only provide these life changing activities thanks to the generosity of their donors, the dedication of their volunteers and the good nature of their fantastic horses.
The role of Head of Member Services and Network Support has been created to drive excellence in member services. The Members are the frontline delivery service for RDA and the head office functions exist to support the members. The role holder will have a member services team delivering against key performance outcomes as well as working indirectly with the wider operations team (coaching, equines, participation and volunteering) and will sit at the centre of a substantial regional volunteer network.
The role holder will play a strategic role in building positive relationships with RDA Groups and their Network, ensuring their operational success, and facilitating collaboration and knowledge sharing within the RDA community.
To achieve this, you will have a customer centred, collegiate approach with strong process orientation and a drive for high quality service outcomes. You will be 'the voice' for the member groups and networks at the RDA National Office.
Ideally, we are looking for a candidate with experience gained within a federated charity environment. Proven track record of delivering member services, community engagement, or network support within the non-profit or voluntary sector. Demonstrate leadership experience including team management and strategic planning.
Bring a strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities faced by community groups, especially in the context of disability services or equine based activities.
In an ideal world you will have worked within a disability focused organisation and/or have some understanding of equestrian centre management.
