About the role:
We are looking for a Head of Legacies to work closely with our Director of Income Generation in the provision of strategic leadership for the organisation's legacy programme.
You will have the responsibility for achieving ambitious growth in this vital area of income for our charity. Building and leading a high performing team to deliver against operational plans and targets is essential, along with the ability to engage proactively with internal and external stakeholders.
As a key role in the Fundraising team, you will proactively engage in supporting the Director in leading the wider team as well as actively participating in the Extended Leadership Group of senior staff across the organisation.
About you:
With Legacy giving as your passion, you will be positive, ambitious, solutions focused, have a creative eye and the vision to take a long-term plan into delivery of operational deliverables.
You will be flexible, results driven and comfortable with using digital methods of engaging with our supporters along with a mindset that likes to test and learn new approaches to delivering our targets.
You will be used to developing effective relationships and working collaboratively with colleagues from other disciplines as well as managing relationships with external suppliers.
We see fantastic supporter journeys and customer experience as being essential to the success of this role. You'll be looking to create a sustainable long term legacy plan to increase the number and value of legacy gifts left to Princess Alice Hospice, using both online and offline channels. Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of legacy and wider fundraising trends and challenges will be essential in providing opportunities to continuously innovate and improve future plans.
