Claremont Fan Court School is a vibrant, independent, gently selective, co-educational day school located in Surrey for pupils aged 2 to 18. Claremont offers a kind, caring, compassionate, pupil-centred approach where each pupil can be themselves. It is a warm and welcoming community where pupils are happy and can achieve more than they might ever think possible, developing into individuals who are outstanding citizens and aware of their responsibility to others.
The school is now embarking upon a transition towards a whole-school, cohesive and consistent approach to educational, pastoral, and co-curricular provision for pupils, enabling a one-school pupil journey. Central to this is the creation of the junior school, sharing teaching and learning expertise and educational leadership in the preparatory and pre-preparatory and nursery schools to enrich the educational experience offered at Claremont to be second to none.
The school is seeking a charismatic, inspirational, and collegiate leader and outstanding educator. You will work with the Headmaster as part of the key leadership team to help develop and implement an ambitious whole-school strategy and lead the newly formed junior school on its journey through transformation. This is an exciting time to join and lead a thriving school, drive innovation and ensure the delivery of excellent teaching and learning, pastoral and co-curricular care throughout the junior school. The successful candidate is likely to be someone who embraces pupil and parent voice to inform their decision-making.
We know from staff and pupils, past and present, that Claremont is a special place. The school has a strong sense of community, a family feel and a welcoming, respectful atmosphere. The successful applicant can expect a salary that fully reflects their expertise and contribution, plus an excellent package of benefits.
