This is a fantastic opportunity for a senior HR professional with leadership experience within a busy, fast-paced People and Culture function to help attract, develop and retain the diverse and motivated talent needed to effectively deliver the strategy for the world s largest independent conservation organisation.

As Head of HR Systems & Services, you will take responsibility for managing a small team and providing a strong foundation for all People & Culture work in the organisation. You will act as the specialist lead on first line support for all hire to retire processes, recruitment, onboarding, HR information systems, services, data collection, management reporting, reward and payroll. You will drive continuous development and improvement in HR Services, processes and practices too. Important will be the ability to interact with empathy and understanding, fairness and consistency, with key stakeholders across the organisation to ensure operational excellence. You will also step up to take occasional additional responsibility in the People and Culture team, covering for P&C leadership team colleagues and the Executive Director as required.

For this high- profile role, you must be able to evidence skills in leading an HR function and ideally have a CIPD qualification or equivalent, demonstrating ongoing personal and professional development. A skilled influencer and communicator, you will have up-to-date knowledge of employment and relevant legal frameworks as well as a good understanding of Health & Safety and safeguarding obligations. You will have sound knowledge of payroll, systems, management information and reporting and confidence in reward and recognition. Effective at motivating and coaching others, you will be familiar with financial and budget planning and control and bring a commercial mindset to the critical work of the charity. Important will be your commitment to ongoing knowledge building and role modelling in DE&I best practice.
