Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be partnering with one of our manufacturing clients to appoint a Head of HR for their site in Doncaster. Reporting into the FD the role will have responsibility for the full HR agenda for this highly successful business of c350 people.
Managing a small HR team, the Head of HR will be responsible for leading and implementing the People Plan and the achievement of all the strategic people related targets. The role will influence and develop the HR function managing the full generalist compliment of employee relations, learning & development, business partnering, recruitment, payroll, performance management, reward, engagement, succession planning and internal communications.
Operating as part of the SLT this role will play a key role in influencing, contributing and ensuring all people plans are closely aligned to business objectives, reporting to the Board regularly and contributing on overall people related matters and strategy.
Key activities will include:
Contribute to the SLT on the overall people agenda and strategyClosely manage and develop the HR teamBe responsible for all HR operations, systems, process and administrationProviding expert guidance on legislation, HR policy and complianceDevelop performance management, talent management and leadership development processesResponsibility for all recruitment ensuring successful talent pipelines and workforce planningFacilitate Learning & Development aligned with business objectives ensuring succession planning, retentionDesign and implement effective communication and engagement strategiesManage and review existing payroll, remuneration and reward strategies, recommending cost effective and competitive solutions To be successful in this role we're looking for:
Degree education, MCIPD or equivalentStrong existing generalist HR experience gained with manufacturing, FMCG or similar sectorsExperience of operating successfully in Head of HR / People Leadership rolesDemonstrable evidence of successfully leading and inspiring HR teamsProven experience of leading and successfully landing HR strategies, delivery of people agenda and best in class practicesExperience of leading on engagement, talent management, organisational change as well as a strong degree of driving and influencing cultureDemonstrable evidence of leading transactional HR and payrollYou should be robust, agile and resilient as well as open, collaborative and confident.
