The HR function of Zachary Daniels are looking to recruit a Head of HR for a well-establised retailer.
The Head of HR is responsible for managing the HR department to provide timely and best practice service on all areas of HR including recruitment, employee relations, policies, employment law, training, health and safety and payroll.
Key responsibilities
Managing the recruitment and onboarding processOverseeing appraisal and employee development systems which align with the company culture, business strategy and commitments.Developing and managing the HR budget feeding into the company budget in liaison with the Financial Controller. Coordinate company training and development plans and budgetsManage, develop and maintain company HR policies ensuring consistent application across the business.Ensuring that the company complies with current regulations, accepted professional standards, policies and procedures and legislation (including legislation on the Equality Act and health and safety). Driving a continuous improvement agenda to strengthening employee performance, employee relations, organisational culture, engagement & welfare.Leading on the HR department systems and processes to ensure they are effective, efficient, meet good practice standards and legal requirements.Providing expertise on all areas of HR, health and safety and payroll , including the application of Employment Law, HR policy and best practiceChampioning and executing an open culture of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) throughout the company which reflects company valuesThe ideal candidate will have/be:
Experienced manager with the knowledge and experience to take ownership of all HR and payroll systems and processes and an in depth knowledge of employment lawThe ability to develop and nurture relationships across departments.The confidence to provide sound professional advice.The ability to lead the development of effective employment policies.The ability to use office software packages competently.
