Michael Page Engineering & Manufacturing are working in partnership with a UK based manufacturer who supply a wide range of products to a large customer base across the UK and internationally.

With several sites across the UK this manufacturing business are looking to recruit a driven, strategic and people-orientated Head of H&S to take site-wide ownership for their Sheffield site with some regional responsibility for other sites within the group.

Description

The Head of Health & Safety will form part of the senior leadership team of this impressive manufacturing facility.

Other day to day responsibilities will include:

Lead and contribute to the development of the safety management system focussing on standards, behaviours and proceduresEnsure best practice is implemented and shared across the groupProvide a professional H&S advisory service to other senior leaders across the businessMaintain existing relationships with regulators such as HSE and Competent AuthorityUse statistical analysis and monitoring to identify causes and trends of safety to enable predictive as opposed to reactive behavioursProfile

Successful candidates will have a strong manufacturing health and safety background and proven experience of managing teams. You will also possess:

Awareness of heavy manufacturing processesKnowledge of H&S strategiesProven experience working with regulatory bodies such as the HSEEducated to degree standard or hold a NEBOSH DiplomaAbility to engage and influence colleagues and peersJob Offer
