Full time, Permanent
Salary: Grade 8 £61,356 - £68,364 per annum including London Weighting
We are looking for an experienced governance and legal professional to lead a newly reconfigured Governance and Legal Services (GLS) Team at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama (Central). You will lead and manage the GLS team, providing a high-quality secretariat service alongside the provision of pragmatic legal advice to a range of stakeholders. To be successful in the role candidates will need a significant amount of governance experience and/or experience of providing legal advice on a range of topics (including commercial contracts, data protection legislation, employment law and general education law). Candidates who are legally qualified or who possess a relevant governance qualification are particularly encouraged to apply.

Central will shortly be launching the Disability Confident Scheme. This recruitment campaign forms part of a pilot to help us structure our 'Disability Confident Committed' framework. We actively encourage disabled people to apply for our job vacancies, and we welcome applications from candidates with all types of disabilities. As part of the
Disability Confident Scheme, we commit to offering an interview to a fair and proportionate number of disabled applicants that meet the minimum selection criteria for the job. To be considered for an interview under this scheme you must have:
a physical or mental impairment, or a long-term health condition which has a substantial and long term (over 12 months) adverse effect on your ability to carry out normal day to day activities.
demonstrated in your application that you meet the minimum job criteria as set out in the advert or person specification for the post.
We are committed to diversity and inclusion and welcome applications from individuals of all backgrounds.
