Head of Finance - The Role
As Head of Finance, you will play a central role in reviewing and improving financial processes and strategies, ensuring compliance and data integrity, together with management of a small team. This role involves close working with the MD on strategic projects to ensure strong and well-planned future growth.
You will be required to get into detail with forecasts and budgeting, whilst also being a confident communicator when presenting financial data to key stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
Contributing to strategy at a leadership level within the organisation;Overseeing the finances of the business including preparing, production and analysis of monthly results and responsibility for VAT, tax, payroll, treasury, cash management etc;Ability to provide sound financial and commercial management, including budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management;Coordinate the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports and develop systems to improve reporting requirements;Prepare and present financial reports at board meetings;Ensure all statutory financial compliance requirements are met;Competent and trusted financial support to ongoing and upcoming projects. As Head of Finance, you will be a qualified or part qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/AAT) who has experience of working in high growth SME's.
Ideally you will demonstrate:
A diligent, problem solving and proactive attitude - prepared to be into the detail of the accounts as well as assisting with strategic planning;Experience of working in the manufacturing industry desirable;Experience of managing a debt factoring facility desirable;Experience of developing systems to improve reporting requirements;Exceptional analytical, presentation and Excel skills;Excellent communication and presentation skills;Strong commercial acumen;Experience of using Epicor Financial Management software an advantage;A pragmatic, self-motivated and proactive mindset.
