Role: Head of Estates
Salary: c.GBP60,000+ per year
Start Date: February 2024 or as soon as possible
The Role:
We are looking for a Head of Estates professional with strategic estates planning and development and capital planning expertise, to ensure our schools are high quality and aspirational learning environments, and to drive financial efficiency in estates and facilities related spend, alongside the wider Trust business functions.
The Head of Estates is a new permanent position in the Trust's structure, created as part of the Trust's ongoing development and expansion. The Head of Estates will be a key member of the Trust's senior leadership team and will work with the CFO and CEO, leading on estate management and capital planning. The successful applicant will enjoy significant autonomy and the opportunity to lead and direct Trust-wide strategic work in line with key Trust strategic priorities.
About Us:
GMAT (Generations Multi Academy Trust) is based in Cheshunt, Hertfordshire. The Trust has a mix of secondary and primary schools, with plans to grow further. The MAT also has independently operated nursery provision operating on one of its sites. The MAT is defined by the commitment of its people to creating improved life chances for young people, and you will work with an extremely collegiate and high performing team of leaders and staff.
Cheshunt is uniquely situated to benefit from the many green spaces in the surrounding area, whilst also enjoying transport links to central London and other large urban areas. The Lee Valley park, including the White Water Centre built for the London 2012 Olympics is located on our doorstep. The journey to central London takes approximately 30 minutes by train. Close links to the A10 and M25 mean that the school is easily accessible from across Hertfordshire, as well as from north London and parts of Essex.
Job Type: Full-time/52 weeks, Permanent
Holiday: 29 days (rising to 31 days after 5 years' service and 32 days after 10 years' service)
