Join us as Head of Development at Brixton House

The core purpose of the Head of Development role is to strategically lead on fundraising for Brixton House to support our continued growth and development. You will be responsible for setting and delivering a fundraising strategy for Brixton House, as well as raising the funds to support our mission and vision over the long-term. You will lead on prospect research, donor cultivation, bid writing and delivering fundraising events. You will set a fundraising culture with the Board and wider staff, advocating for the power of fundraising to push Brixton House into the future.

The organisation has a strong culture of fundraising at all levels including at Board level and we have been working with cultural consultancy Achates in recent months to establish a framework for fundraising. We have also been working together to develop our organisational positioning as a charity and begin work on our case for support. The Head of Development will build on the foundations of this work to galvanise fundraising at Brixton House.

As mentioned, this role will form part of the Senior Leadership Team and will take an active role in the leadership of the organisation and as an ambassador for Brixton House in lots of different contexts. There is also the opportunity to develop the role around your strengths and we encourage new ideas and ways of thinking to shape the fundraising approach.
