The Chartered Institution of Highways & Transportation (CIHT) are looking for someone to head up the Bus Centre of Excellence
This is an exciting opportunity to improve bus transport in England by sharing best practice across the industry and improving the skills of those who work within the industry.
You will lead and deliver the development and operation of the newly formed Bus Centre of Excellence (BCoE) and will act as the focal point for the BCoE Advisory board and the CIHT/DfT Project board and senior Department for Transport officials.
You will lead business planning for the content and operation of the BCoE and will support the BCoE community and will lead a team of two staff.
You will need to be able to work collaboratively across the organisation and will be expected to work with policy, communications, marketing and education colleagues to build our reach and engagement with key audiences.
You will be a professional and hard-working team player who is outgoing, enthusiastic and able to remain calm under pressure.
You will need to demonstrate the ability to multi-task, prioritise and manage own workload with minimal supervision.

The role is based on a 37-hour working week and includes a contributory pension scheme and additional benefits. The contract will be based on flexible working with 2-3 days based at our office in London and will initially be a fixed term contract which expires on 31 March 2025.
