A role with huge potential for commercial impact, building and scaling a multi–faceted data team from scratch with route to becoming CDO.

THE COMPANY

The successful Head of Analytics will be working for an up–and–company tech platform within the travel space. This company wishes to increase their understanding of its customer's behaviour through in–depth analysis, learning about customer interactions at multiple touchpoints. This business are at a very early stage from a data perspective so whilst being a good challenge, there is a huge opportunity for business–impact. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to step into a Head of Analytics role looking after multiple disciplines and build out a data function from scratch, with route to becoming CDO.

THE ROLE

As a Head of Analytics, you can expect to be doing the following:

Benchmarking for how customer data is used and manipulatedLeading the analytics team covering customer, marketing, product and commercialCreating the roadmap and strategy for analytics projects – likely containing segmentation, LTV, single customer view, churn etc in the long run but initially helping steer direction for data infrastructureCreation of customer–related KPI's, setting success metrics for your teamHiring, centralising and growing the Cardiff teamLeading the team responsible for building out reports and automated dashboardsIn the longer–term working towards doing more advanced analytics (predictive modelling for customer–purpose) YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

The successful Head of Analytics will have the following skills and experience:

Previous experience with SQL hands–on with the ability to identify and rectify mistakes (more from a quality control perspective)Experience owning large–scale data projects, including building out a data roadmap for a business from low data maturity to advancedExperience deliverying key strategy and roadmaps for customer analyticsExperience leading a team across Customer or Marketing analytics. Experience delivering complex models or customer/marketing/product analytics all desirableShown previous experience visualising data using Tableau (or similar, e.g. Power BI, Looker)Excellent communication skills, with strong ability to communicate and engage with stakeholdersAbility to collaborate and work in a team effectivelyExperience building out a team is desirableFantastic stakeholder skills THE BENEFITS

The successful Head of Analytics will receive a salary between GBP100,000 and GBP120,000 alongside a comprehensive benefits package.
