Head Chef - New Production Kitchen.
As part of an exciting expansion this family run group of modern-day boutique grocery stores is looking for a talented Head Chef to run the new production kitchen opening in February. The stores all include an in-house café and seasonal fresh food deli counter. The new production kitchen will service the stores creating a wide range of handmade dishes, salads and items for the deli counter, sandwiches and other grab and go goods and a new range of high-quality cook-at-home meals.
As Head Chef you will be responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day running of the kitchen including:
Meeting daily production targets.
Develop, train and coach your team, managing the kitchen rota and overseeing the hiring and onboarding of all new recruits.
Accountable for all stock, ordering, and wastage.
Working within company budgets
Maintain company quality assurance standards at all times.
Ensure compliance with all current legislation and regulations.
We are looking for a skilled, hands-on, head chef with strong kitchen management and several years’ experience in a similar high-quality production kitchen. You will be expected to work closely with the Kitchen Operations Manager and Director of Food on menu development and seasonal specials and lead your team by example building strong relationships with the store managers, our suppliers and drivers etc. The company has a well-earned reputation for responsible food provenance with a loyal following among environmentally conscious consumers.
We can offer you:
40 hours per week over 5 days Daytime working (no evening shifts)

Salary: Up to £55,000
