My name is Ollie and I can help you reach your guitar playing goals, and have fun while you’re doing so!

I am a professional guitarist based in Tufnell Park, North London with years of playing and teaching experience and a First Class BA in Jazz, offering guitar lessons to all levels on electric or acoustic guitar.

I have over a decade of experience as a session musician, playing in jazz ensembles, pop, funk and reggae bands, and live work playing neo soul, hip hop, RnB and Soul.

I’ve played at many London venues including O2 Greenwich and Islington, Ronnie Scotts jazz club, and numerous festivals such as Boomtown and Womad. Ive also performed at the BBC Sports Personality of the year Awards 2019.

I’ve played for artists like Lola Young, X Factor finalist Laura White, Donae'o, Dave Stewart from the Eurythmics, and NeoSoul singer Natalie May and Hollie Stephenson.

I have recording experience and radio performances on BBC radio 2 Jo Wiley show as well as BBC Radio london and have even done musical theatre pit work.

I teach all of the styles mentioned above, and I specialise in improvisation and the jazz theory approach to the instrument. However I am very flexible and I like to tailor my teaching methods to each student’s preferences and abilities. DBS Checked.

Having me as a teacher, you can expect to:

- learn all the basics

- develop your repertoire of songs to perform

- learn how to improvise: I feel this is incredibly important in your progress as a guitarist

- learn the essential theory behind the guitar, enabling you to really unlock the instrument by understanding the fretboard

- learn how to play new and advanced chords, arpeggios and scales, and how to link all of these together to play in any scenario.

Standard lesson length is one hour, however I am flexible and can teach 30 min to however long you prefer, consult with me for fees. I also offer lesson bundle deals.
