We have an exciting opportunity for a Growth & Recruitment Officer Extending Reach - Midlands to join our Growth and Communities Team.

Location: Homebased working across East and West Midlands

Salary: GBP30,793 per annum - Band E Level 3 + Car allowance

Term: Permanent

Working Hours: 35 hours per week

About the Growth & Recruitment Officer - Extended Reach Role:

Scouting s focus on extending its reach has seen an increase in youth and volunteer membership from the Muslim communities in recent years catalysed by focused staff and volunteer support. The purpose of this exciting new role is to build on this model and support Scouting volunteers to develop and grow Scouting in even more underrepresented communities.

What we are looking for in our Growth & Recruitment Officer - Extended Reach:

Ability to work effectively as part of a remote team. Excellent planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage and deliver a varied workload and set of projects whilst ensuring effective prioritisation and balancing of the needs of a range of stakeholders. Confident public speaker and skilled at presenting ideas and information to internal and external stakeholders, both digitally and face-to-face. Be able to work independently and be able to identify and develop new opportunities for volunteer engagement. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to enable successful influencing, listening and negotiating with others. Self-starter with the ability to work remotely The ability to operate an effective home-based office, juggling personal/family life with work Required to work frequent evenings with regular weekends to accommodate in person events/meetings with volunteers. Live in or very near to the East or West Midlands to enable close partnership working with volunteers. Key responsibilities as our Growth & Recruitment Officer - Extended Reach:

Support and work in partnership with District Commissioners, Group Scout Leaders, Muslim Scout Fellowship, National inclusion team and other volunteers to open new sections to grow Scouting within the County according to the County Inclusive Growth Plan. Open new sections in line with Counties Inclusive Growth Plans, the Muslim Scout Fellowship national pipeline and priority locations as agreed with your Line Manager. Using local knowledge, collaborating with local volunteers and contributing to the ongoing development of growth planning as needed to ensure that we are achieving our ambitions to create more Scouting opportunities for young people in underrepresented communities. Champion extending the reach of Scouting in underrepresented communities, acting as a point of expertise for members of the Growth & Communities team, key volunteers and others to expand understanding, knowledge and skill base. Carry out the induction of key line managers. As our our Growth & Recruitment Officer - Extended Reach:
