Group Finance Manager
Salary: 50,000 - 65,000

Our client is a true leader in their field. They partner with their customers to resolve their toughest challenges and have been doing this successfully since the late 90s. They are looking to recruit a Group Finance Manager to join the finance team. Working alongside the Board, the Group Finance Manager will ensure the financial integrity of the finance function and develop strong business planning, financial control, and reporting. The post reports to the Board of Directors and assists the Director of Operations for each company on all strategic and tactical matters as they relate to budget management, cost-benefit analysis, and forecasting needs.
THE ROLE:
Manage the sales and operational streams to define the budgetary and forecasting process and set the financial strategy.
Take ownership of the processes to support price modelling, profitability analysis, capital monitoring, investment appraisal and competitor analysis.
Take responsibility of the financial reporting framework and be the central focus for the financial integrity and compliance of the Group.
Provide effective revenue and cost management frameworks.
Provide support to the creditor/debtor management process.
Maintain close relationships with the supplier and customer base to ensure smooth cash flow.
Provide effective leadership and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations and statutory guidelines, including health and safety obligations
Provide support to the inventory and asset management processes.
Provide and review strategies to manage market risk.
Lead and develop a high performing finance team to drive improved performance
Develop and take lead responsibility for the key processes/recovery actions for business continuity (disaster recovery); ensure adequate planning and testing
Ensure the implementation and use of Group IT systems in line with Group policy
Appropriately reporting to the Directors and Board in line with the standard format and schedule
Promote and act in accordance with Group values, systems, policies and procedures.
THE CANDIDATE:
A professionally qualified accountant with considerable post qualification experience in a senior commercial accounting role, preferably in a multi-national organisation
A motivational team leader with proven management experience and skills in mentoring, developing and supporting finance teams to achieve their full potential
Down to earth and able to communicate at all levels of the organisation both face to face and via MS teams
Experience of managing external relationships i.e., banks and auditors
A high level of integrity, openness, and dependability
Ability to challenge the status quo for the greater good of the business
Ability to travel aboard quarterly
