As a Grants Officer, you will play a vital role in securing funding from various sources, including trusts, foundations, and grants. Responsibilities of a Grants Officer:

Crafting compelling funding applications to secure income from diverse funders, both large and small scale.Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to develop realistic, deliverable, and well-budgeted funding applications.Identifying new funding opportunities that align with the organisational priorities.Building and nurturing strong relationships with funders to gain a deeper understanding of the charity's work.Maintaining accurate records and data to demonstrate performance and compliance.Assisting with marketing and communication activities to promote funding opportunities and highlight successes.Representing the organisation at events and meetings as required.

Requirements of a Grants Officer:

Proven experience in writing compelling funding applications and securing income from various funders.Knowledge of major funders such as National Lottery, Sport England, central government, and local authorities, as well as smaller grants and trusts.Ability to analyse and assess different funding opportunities.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and engaging manner.Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work co-operatively with others.Proficiency in using IT systems, including Microsoft Office and SharePoint.Self-motivation, excellent time management, and the ability to work to deadlines.A valid driving license and access to a vehicle, with flexibility to travel when required.Previous experience within the charity sector.
