Graduate OR Trainee Business Development Manager

Salary: 28,000 approx

This role is perfect for a graduate who has just completed a business OR marketing degree or similar.
The successful candidate will work directly with the management team and will have the opportunity to develop their skills and the role to be their own.
This is an amazing opportunity for someone with a good understanding of business in terms of Mission, Vision, Strategic Objectives, Relationships, and the use of KPIs.
The person assigned to this role will also be expected to carry out additional tasks, as assigned by the General Manager associated with any aspect of the business providing these additional tasks are within the capabilities of the person assigned.
This is a new position and the job description detailed below is expected to evolve and will be updated and agreed as required.
Duties:
Produce and submit, to the General Manager, detailed marketing and business development plans to reflect Vision, Mission, Strategy and Strategic Objectives.Submit detailed requests for the allocation of annual budgets to support the activities included in the marketing and business development plans.Act as process owner for the marketing process and agreed process performance metrics.Responsible for the management of the company website, YouTube channel and any other company social media presence.Responsible for the production of marketing material to support the promotion of products and services.Responsible for the management of the marketing module within the current Customer Relationship Management system.Assist with the creation of proposals for products and services in response to requests from existing and potential customers.Assist with the negotiation and agreement for new customer contracts and terms and conditions.Assume ownership and management of existing key customer accounts with regard to potential new business and to achieve agreed objectives for the increase of individual customer and market share.Establish and maintain relationships with new customers within the air, land and sea industries from initial contact through to approvalas a supplier and the receipt of requests for proposals for products and/or services.Highlight any risks associated with customer accounts or marketing activities to the General Manager and assist with the measurement and mitigation of those risks.Produce regular reports for the General Manager with details of all marketing and business development activities, new opportunities, status of risks and performance against planned activities and budgets.Understand the requirements of the company approvals and certifications and how the associated regulations and standards influence marketing and business development activities.Adopt a continuous improvement attitude to processes and procedures across the whole company.
