As the Category Manager for the IT Operations category, you will be responsible for supporting WTW across the business for all procurement aligned to Architectural Design & Tooling, Enterprise Platforms and Software Asset Management. You will collaborate with business stakeholders to develop sourcing strategies related to IT Operations. Knowledge is essential of how global software and licensing works and experience/background specifically in IT Procurement. A strong knowledge of wider major Technology providers is also desired.This is your opportunity to work in the two fastest paced categories within IT. We are looking for someone with IT Procurement experience and a willingness to learn. You will be mentored to hone your skills, but your attitude and willingness to learn whilst on the job, ability to absorb a lot of information and handle multiple projects will be key to your success in this role.You must have experience in building and maintaining key business stakeholder relationships as you will be acting as a trusted advisor and partner for them on IT Operations related matters for WTW. The Category Manager for IT Operations Procurement will support the Head of Enterprise Technology Procurement with relevant category planning for the business.The successful candidate will also have a creative and positive approach to problem solving and a strong collaborative approach with other team members and stakeholders. A strong, analytical mindset with a meticulous approach to reporting and a willingness to learn and develop will be key to being successful in this role.The scope of the role also requires you to create and maintain up to date category plans and provide key monthly and ad hoc reporting as required and requested by your line manager. In addition to also work closely with the Procurement operations and analytics teams to review and access spend data and spend trends. Experience in negotiating large projects also desirable.The Role Management of procurement activities including sourcing, commercial negotiations, and project management with an aim to mitigate risks and achieve intended financial outcomes.Accountable for management and delivery of projects including renewals, consolidations of existing relationships and other sourcing activities.Provide guidance and manage escalations on those individual efforts.Maintain relationships with colleagues on the Procurement team, internal stakeholders, as well as suppliers.
