Job Purpose and Background: As the Deputy Director managing the Technical Department, you'll be at the forefront of accelerating the transition to a net–zero economy. About the SBTi: The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) is a global collaboration between CDP, the United Nations Global Compact, World Resources Institute, and the World Wide Fund for Nature. They aim to halve emissions by 2030 and achieve net–zero emissions by 2050. SBTi defines and promotes best practices, offers resources, and independently assesses and approves companies' targets.

Key Responsibilities:

Drive the execution of SBTi's corporate decarbonization standards program.Provide effective leadership, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration.Oversee project management, ensuring initiatives are delivered on time and within scope and budget.Cultivate an environment of quality management and continuous improvement.Ensure conformance of SBTi standard development with procedures and support in preparation for third–party accreditation. Essential Skills and Experience:

Seasoned manager with 10+ years of experience in managing high–performance, global teams.Track record of success in senior management roles.Outstanding team leadership and people management skills.Exceptional communication skills.Ability to work in a matrixed and multicultural environment. Desirable Criteria:

Advanced degree in business administration, environmental science, or related field.Familiarity with the operational mechanisms of multi–stakeholder initiatives or non–profit organizations.Experience in change management. What We Offer:
