My client an established ladieswear supplier is looking for an experienced Garment Technologist with a strong jersey background and experience working with supermarkets and or large volume retailers .Previous supplier experience is essential for this role and the ability to work in a fast–paced environment autonomously as well as part of a team. Hybrid working is also offered for this role Main Responsibilities Will Include:

Responsible for approval of garments and advising on all aspects on fit, construction and quality related issues.Attending (virtual)fit meetings with customers and translating the comments to overseas factoriesCreating size specifications and technical packs for issue to factories.Working closely within internal design, sampling, sales and merchandising teams, and to develop strong working relationships with customers own technical teams.Writing fit comments accurately and sending to overseas factoriesLiaise regularly with customers regarding fit comments, specs/requirementsCreating production specificationsCommunicate all the information to offshore factories. Previous experience working across jerseywear for a supplierKnowledge of working with Supermarkets and understand their systems Previous experience working with factories in Bangladesh and Cambodia Excellent verbal and written communication skillsPattern cutting experience is a bonus BUT not essentialGood understanding of garment constructionAbility to work under pressure and to key deadlines on the Critical PathAble to give clear concise written comments to factories
